ArtFx students are greeting attendees at the experimental Atelier at the International Short Film Festival of Clermont-Ferrand. On the program: a very special interactive experience based on the photo booth principle.
The Young Frankenstein Photo Booth experience
Within the framework of l’Atelier, ArtFx chose to join l’École Louis Lumière in its choice of themes and is presenting an experience around Mel Brook’s Young Frankenstein (1974).
The students are waiting for you with an on-site experience in the form of a cabinet of curiousities photo booth. Let me explain…
The Photo Booth that makes you lose your head
L’Atelier visitors will be invited to participate in the experience: seated on an adjustable stool (a photo booth requirement) and dressed in a gray shirt, you will pose for posterity in front of a green screen with an empty picture frame between your hands. Attention: it is this precise moment that the photo booth will capture…
The camera will immediately transmit this information to our team of mad scientists who will do some live compositing work on it.
A 3D creation will be put in the position and place of your head. Your actual head will appear in the picture frame that you are holding between your hands.
The compositors will also replace the green screen with posed skeletons.
You can then see your picture in stereoscopy.
And very soon on this blog site.
Any takers? The students are waiting for you in their lab….
