Having given up super-crime and put aside his evil activities to devote himself to fatherhood and raising Margo, Edith and Agnes, Gru, and with him, Professor Nefario and the Minions, must find new occupations. Just as he’s starting to adjust to his new quiet life as a family man, a top-secret organization, waging a relentless battle against evil on a global scale, comes knocking at his door.
