Engineer from the Compiègne University of Technology (UTC), then graduate of the ESCP-EAP Media Master's program, Simon Vanesse began his career with BUF compagnie, as VFX Producer then Executive Producer. A ces postes, Il a travaillé sur des productions cinématographiques européennes (Astérix aux jeux olympiques, Dante 01, Enter the void...) et internationales (The Prestige, Spiderman 3, Speed Racer...). Within the company, he produced the short film Même les pigeons vont au paradis, for which he was nominated for an Oscar in 2008.

After a stint in independent production and several years as pedagogical director of animation / visual effects courses at an international school, he joined Mikros images in 2016. For 5 years, he helped build and develop the Mikros Animation studio as Managing Director. In this role, he helped supervise multiple international animated films, including Sherlock Gnomes (Paramount Animation), Astérix et le secret de la potion magique (M6), Sponge Bob: Sponge on the run (Nickelodeon), ...
