Our intensive one-year MA Level 7 VFX Master’s program is accredited by Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), providing you with an esteemed, internationally recognised qualification. - From Swimming Pool (modeling, texturing, lighting, and compositing essentials) to Your Demo Reel! From matchmoving and layout to lighting, rendering, and compositing, you’ll dive into every step of the production pipeline, building the expertise to bring your ideas to life and showcase them in a professional demo reel.
- Intensive one‑year VFX Master’s program Level 7 accredited by Arts University Bournemouth (AUB)
- Hands‑on training on industry software (Maya, Houdini, Nuke, DaVinci Resolve)
- Four personal projects and participate in one collaborative group production, giving you the opportunity to experiment, express your creativity, and strengthen your portfolio.
- Masterclasses and practical workshops, hosted by seasoned artists and industry professionals, designed to expand your vision and sharpen your skills.
- Start date: February 2026 (annual intake)
- Small class sizes to ensure personalised instruction

- English-speaking students
- Students from all over England and the world
- Students who already have a bachelor’s degree, not necessarily specific to VFX (age: approximately 21)
- Applicant students have to pass a test (minimum 3 sec plan covering all departments) to enter the campus.
Your Investment in a World Class VFX Career
- UK students: £14000 for the one-year program
- International students: £22000 for the one-year program
Fees include all production costs, full access to campus facilities, and the use of professional- grade hardware, the same tools you’ll find in top VFX studios.
Registration fees 500£. This fee is non-refundable
These rates apply to the 2026 intake and are reviewed annually in June.

ARTFX x AUB team
charles chorein
A graduate of ARTFX himself, Charles is now leading the new ARTFX London campus as its Head. In this role, he brings his extensive professional experience and a passion for mentoring to develop the next generation of VFX artists. His hands-on proficiency with industry-standard software such as Maya, Houdini, Nuke, and DaVinci Resolve allows him to provide deep, practical insights to students, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the modern VFX and cinema industry. Lisa mann
Lisa Mann is the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer of Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), a role she assumed in January 2025. Her career in higher education is marked by a focus on innovation, industry collaboration, and strategic development. Before her appointment as Vice-Chancellor, Lisa Mann served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and, prior to that, as the Executive Director of Innovation at AUB, starting in December 2022. In this capacity, she was instrumental in expanding the university’s curriculum, including the launch of the new School of Arts, Media, and Creative Industries Management.
Jonathan carr
Dr. Jonathan Carr is the Director of the Bournemouth Film School (BFS) at Arts University Bournemouth, where he also serves as the Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Film Production program. Dr. Carr has a background in filmmaking with over 10 years of industry experience as a producer, director, and editor. His work includes the feature documentary My Brother the Ark Raider and he is a co-manager of the production company Plainview Films. His academic career includes a PhD from the University of York, prior to which he worked as a journalist.
