ARTFX will be able to welcome up to 300 new students at the start of the 2022 academic year. Places are allocated during each admission session, so the earlier you’re admitted, the more likely you’ll get your first-choice campus!

It is not possible to apply to ARTFX via "Parcoursup" (the web platform designed to collect and manage the assignment wishes of future students in French higher education). The school has its own recruitment procedures and schedule. The admission tests are free.

The Paris campus is specialised in 3D animation and special effects (VFX). For other courses, you’ll be sent to Lille or Montpellier.

Admission process

  1. I will complete the enrollment form, in which I will choose a date for my admission session.

  2. I will be contacted to confirm my attendance at the admission session. I will prepare my portfolio and cover letter (in English).

  3. One week before the date, I will receive an e-mail with online tests (20 to 40 minutes depending on the course), to be completed before attending the admission session.

  4. On the day of the session, I will take written tests in the morning and present my portfolio in a one-on-one interview in the afternoon.

  5. I will receive an answer within 10 days.

  6. If I am admitted, I will have one month to finalise my administrative file and definitively confirm my entry into ARTFX.

  1. I will complete the enrollment form, in which I will choose a date for my admission session.

  2. A few days before the agreed date, I receive by e-mail the steps to follow (submission of my file with – among others – my portfolio, my tests, scheduling the interview), in order to apply for an ARTFX course.

  3. I have a few days to submit my portfolio in electronic format, my cover letter, complete my tests, and my synopsis or game concept. Also, I schedule my interview with a member of the ARTFX jury.

  4. 48 hours before my interview, I receive an email confirming my interview, with the link to connect to my online jury.

  5. I will receive an answer within 10 days.

  6. If I am admitted, I will have one month to finalise my administrative file and definitively confirm my entry into ARTFX.

Preparing your
portfolio

The motivational interview draws on the presentation of personal work. For the VFX / Video Game programming course, computer development work is welcome.
