When the eminent Professor Hari Seldon predicts the imminent fall of the Galactic Empire, the Cleons – a long line of ruling Emperor clones – fear that their previously unrivaled reign is in jeopardy. They are forced to consider the potential reality of losing their powerful legacy forever and take steps to limit the damage. Dr. Seldon and a few of his followers are sent to the farthest reaches of the galaxy to build the Foundation, a special place to preserve the knowledge of civilization, in hopes of rebuilding it.
