Responsable pédagogique Jeu Vidéo Équipe pédagogiqueSylvain Blanchot, a pioneer of the French video game ecosystem, began his career at Infogrames as a graphic designer and then as a game designer. In 1999, with six partners, he co-founded the independent studio Widescreen Games in Lyon. For ten years, as game director, he managed the game and level design department and worked with international publishers such as Namco, Atari and Eidos, making Widescreen Games one of the leading players in the French video game industry with over 80 employees. He then pursued his career as a freelancer, specializing in game design and storytelling. Today, Sylvain is in charge of the Game section at the ARTFX school in Montpellier, where he teaches game design, storytelling and narrative design. He has 25 years' experience in the video game, cinema and interactive film sectors, and is also a screenwriter and author of novels. In 2010, his first novel won the First Novel Award at the Beaune Film Festival.
